MSRC has successfully organized its annual honorarium ceremony to honor its top ranked students in M.Sc. and diplomas programs of Gas and Petroleum Engineering Technology. The event has witnessed the attendance and participation of Egyptian Petroleum Minister, Engineer Tarek El Molla, along with many other leaders of the petroleum sector in Egypt. The leadership of Cairo University and Faculty of Engineering was also represented in the ceremony. The event’s schedule is attached at the end of this article.

The event started by a presentation about the fluctuations in petroleum prices and how to strategize it in the favor of our country. This presentation was introduced by Prof. Dr. El Sayyed El Tayyeb; director and manager of MSRC postgraduate studies programs and a professor in petroleum engineering department. Then, another presentation entitled “The effects of prices fluctuations on the company’s plans to improve the country’s reserves of oil and gas in the upcoming decade” was introduced by the acting president of EGPC; Eng. Mohammed El Masry.

After El Masry’s presentation, the minister of petroleum has given a speech on the vision of the ministry and its expectations of MSRC programs. Then, the minister has signed a cooperation protocol between petroleum engineering department represented in MSRC and the ministry to facilitate the attainability of necessary data from EGPC subordinate companies. Consequently, this agreement would facilitate research projects that are related to field cases, and the gap between them would eventually diminish.

In the end, the top ranked students were honored, and they received symbolic certificates as a sign of appreciation to their efforts. A list of their names is attached at the end of this article. In addition, the leaders of the petroleum sector in Egypt were honored with honorary shields for their efforts in aiding MSRC programs.
